Royal Davui Island’s history is truly remarkable.

The Fijian name for the island is Ugaga (ung-nga-nga ~ not the easiest of Fijian words to pronounce). Located 3.5 km southwest of Naceva Bay on Beqa Island, Ugaga is proximately 10 acres and surrounded by a fringing reef.

Ugaga Island was gifted to the Vunivalu (tribal leader) of Serua, as payment for defending Naceva Village against attacks from neighbouring Rukua Village around 1830.

In late 2004 the island was opened after 2 years of transformation into the stunning world class resort it is today.
